Course Overview
Understanding Your Nervous System Profile is an evidence-informed course designed to help healthcare professionals recognise how individual nervous system patterns influence thoughts, emotions, behaviour, relationships and clinical presentations.
Using the NeuroSync Nervous System Profile framework, participants learn to identify five common nervous system profiles that emerge in response to stress, adaptation and regulation. The course integrates neuroscience, autonomic nervous system physiology, Polyvagal Theory and practical regulation strategies to help participants better understand themselves and the individuals they work with.
Participants complete a structured profile assessment, identify both their primary and secondary nervous system profiles, and learn targeted regulation strategies that support greater flexibility, resilience and wellbeing.
The Nervous System Profile is an educational observation and self-reflection framework designed to support clinical reasoning and patient education. It is not a diagnostic or psychometric assessment, but rather a practical tool for understanding nervous system patterns and guiding personalised regulation strategies.
Access
One live online training day with 12 months’ access to the course recording and accompanying resources.
Learning Format
A live, interactive online course combining neuroscience, clinical observation, self-assessment and practical nervous system regulation strategies. Participants complete the NeuroSync Nervous System Profile Assessment, identify their primary and secondary nervous system profiles, and learn profile-specific regulation strategies that can be applied both personally and clinically.
Course Outcomes
After completing this programme, participants will be able to:
- Understand how autonomic nervous system states influence personality, behaviour and coping patterns.
- Identify the five NeuroSync Nervous System Profiles and recognise their characteristic strengths, challenges and stress responses.
- Interpret primary and secondary nervous system profile patterns using the NeuroSync assessment.
- Apply profile-specific breathing, movement and nervous system regulation strategies.
- Integrate Polyvagal Theory and autonomic nervous system principles into patient education and clinical reasoning.
- Differentiate between nervous system patterns and diagnostic labels.
- Develop personalised regulation plans based on an individual’s nervous system profile.
- Apply the Nervous System Profile framework to improve communication, therapeutic relationships and clinical outcomes.
