Welcome to NeuroSync Academy — where science meets soul, and nervous system regulation becomes more than theory… it becomes transformation.
Founded by Corinne Badenhorst, an Occupational Therapist with over 24 years of clinical experience, NeuroSync Academy was born from a deep, relentless passion to understand why people suffer, how we truly heal, and what it takes to stay regulated and whole in a system that often fragments us.
Corinne’s professional path has been shaped by a lifelong hunger for insight — not just into diagnoses and treatment plans, but into the human nervous system, its survival strategies, and its incredible potential for healing and rewiring.
Across more than two decades of practice, she pursued extensive training in:
Occupational Therapy Degree: with over two decades of hands-on clinical experience across hospital, outpatient, and private practice settings.
Diploma in Psychoneuroimmunology (PNI) : Understanding the link between psychological stress, immune function, nervous system and chronic illness.
Polyvagal Theory & Vagus Nerve Regulation: Applied clinical models of the autonomic nervous system and vagal tone support.
HeartMath® Certified Practitioner: Heart-brain coherence, HRV regulation, trauma, anxiety and emotional self-regulation techniques.
What started as a series of certifications became a personal transformation — one that revealed the missing piece in much of modern therapy: nervous system literacy and embodied regulation.
Corinne founded NeuroSync Academy to close the gap between science and practice — between what the research says and what actually works in real therapy rooms, with real people, under real pressure.
Her passion is to take deep, cutting-edge neuroscience and make it simple, practical, and clinically effective — whether you’re a therapist, doctor, educator, or health professional just trying to survive another day of giving your best.

“This isn’t just continuing education. It’s nervous system restoration. For the clinician. For the client. For the system.”
– Corinne Badenhorst
And while our courses are designed with healthcare professionals in mind, anyone with a deep desire to understand the nervous system and experience personal transformation is welcome.
You don’t have to be a therapist to benefit from the work — you just have to be human.

Every client who walks into my practice leaves with a tiny rubber ducky.
Why? Because sometimes the biggest change comes from the smallest reminder.
The ducky is not just a toy — it’s a cue. A cue to pause. A cue to breathe. A cue to step out of autopilot and return to regulation.
Science shows that micro-pauses during the day reset the autonomic nervous system, lowering stress hormones, restoring vagal tone, and building resilience one breath, one pause at a time.
And so the ducky becomes a symbol:
That nervous system change doesn’t require an hour — sometimes it just takes a moment.
That therapists can plant seeds of regulation in playful, memorable ways.
That regulation is possible when we remember to pause.
So here’s to therapists everywhere — changing the nervous system, one ducky at a time.

At NeuroSync Academy, our vision is to transform the way care is given — starting with the nervous system, and starting with the carer.
We believe that when we regulate the system, we restore the healer, and when the healer is whole, everything changes.
At NeuroSync Academy, our mission is to equip healthcare professionals and individuals with the knowledge, tools, and embodied understanding needed to regulate the nervous system, integrate trauma-informed care, and transform the clinical experience — both for practitioner and patient.
